Running 42 kilometres in negative 25 degrees celsius across a frozen Siberian lake that happens to be the deepest body of fresh water in the world – is that crazy? Well that is what my self and my mate Andy did and it is a major highlight of my many running adventures.
The race is the Ice Marathon (visit website) and on 120 people get to run in this special event each year. This is an event unlike no other and I cannot recommend it enough. Siberia is intoxicating due to it remoteness and beauty and the people are super friendly. Every minute of this challenge had us excited and thankful to be able to live life to its fullest.
