Testing The Garmin VIRB Camera In Vail

I was invited to my good mate Dan Gluck’s Bachelor Party in Vail Colorado for an early February long weekend of skiing, drinking and boys fun. I have been using a Gopro Hero3 for the past 18 months for a variety of different uses – action sports, endurance races, fishing and capturing family moments. I found the quality of the video excellent but the actual Hero3 device clunky and difficult to use easily and quickly. So I did some research about what alternative cameras are out there and came across the new Garmin VIRB Elite Action Camera (learn more).

Not only is it easier to use, mainly due to the physical slider that you push forward to quickly record footage, but it doesn’t require a clunky outside housing case as the whole device is shock and waterproof, ready for action at any time.

Here is some footage I took whilst skiing in Vail. The end result is as good as the Gopro.
