Madhattan Run 2011 – A Legend Is Born

In the spring of 2011, over several drinks in a West Village bar, myself and my buddy Declan challenged each other to a run that we believed was of the ordinary – to circumnavigate the most famous island in the world – Manhattan.

On Saturday June 28 2011, we head off from Harrison Street Tribeca and made our way anti-clockwise around the island of Manhattan. 5 hours later, approximately 54kms of running and we arrived back at their starting point relieved, elated and thirsty. Notable events during the run was seeing a dude catch a 10 pound bass off Battery Park, nearly being eaten by Jay-Z’s Rottweiler up in Harlem and a run-in with a gay nudist (I think he tried to flash me) on the northern reach of the upper west side,

So the Madhattan run was born! The photos below tell the story.
